The interview process is continually evolving. From phone interviews, video chats and digital portfolios, it is easier than ever to learn about a job candidate without the expense of bringing them into the office.
A new startup company, JobOn, is taking this one-step further. Job applicants can submit a recorded video where they answer a few common interview questions via a webcam or smart phone, and send it to potential employers. And, it does not have to be generic questions. When posting a job, employers can ask applicants to answer questions from a list of 200.
This platform allows candidates show their personality and communication skills in the first stage of the interview process.
With the national unemployment rate at 9.1%, we expect this tool to vastly grow as the amount of job seekers is on the rise.
