
Accompanying Pinterest’s rise to success is their reputation for being close-minded when it comes to advertising. However, some brands have taken it upon themselves to explore ways to use the platform to promote image and their partners.
Woman’s Health Magazine plans to launch a campaign on Friday to promote Forevermark Diamonds. The publication claims that Pinterest led to a 25 percent increase in referral traffic, and the Forevermark wants to take advantage of that market. The two brands will run a contest that encourages users to create “Sparkling Summer” Pinterest boards that include images by the jeweler.
This is an innovative venture by Women’s Health into advertising on Pinterest, and brands may start devoting their efforts to similar campaigns.
