Maybe it’s because our expectations of Apple have gotten unreasonably high that many tech experts described the iPhone 5 as lacking a “wow factor.”
The phone, which Apple VP Phil Schiller expressed to be “the most beautiful device we have ever made” features the latest updates, including a retina display, LTE 4G connectivity, lightning connector, and an improved camera. Aesthetically, the design has been modified to be longer and thinner.
The “wow factor” that most experts claim the iPhone 5 lacks is new technology. The device basically assumed innovations that Apple has previously introduced with the new iPad. Even so, the iPhone 5 is vastly superior to its predecessors and will inspire a new surge of attention from developers and consumers.
